The Ontario Ministry of Labour has published blitz results on their May 2010 Blitz - Preventing Falls at Industrial Workplaces.  A total of 1,506 visits were conducted with a total of 4,208 orders of all types being issued.  There were 121 Stop-work orders issued as well.  Full details of the results can be found on the Safe at Work Ontario section of the MOL website.

Upcoming MOL enforcement blitz: October will focus on Personal Protective Equipment in the industrial and health care sectors.

Ontario's government has introduced Bill 68, Open for Business Act, 2010.  This legislation has been introduced to modernize the environmental approvals process by taking a risk-based approach to approvals.
